I am excited to be the pastor at Cedar Bayou Grace. I believe God is up to something great here to build His kingdom by helping the poor, setting the captive free, and the proclamation of the Good News in Jesus Christ. It is our desire to see this church become a healing community of hope for all people. I believe that real faith produces real life and that is why Romans 14:17 is one of my life verses. It says, "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating or drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." There is fullness of life for those who follow Jesus Christ and we should enjoy our walk with Him. I love being around funny people and I hope there is always some humor in my messages. While I do not take myself too seriously, I am very serious about making a difference in this world for the glory of Jesus Christ. My wife Janie and I have been married for 40 years. We have two children, our son Gabe who is married to Kim and our daughter, Sarah who is married to Ben. I worked in industry (oil field and car business) before being called into the ministry. Cedar Bayou Grace is my fifth appointment and I am in my 26th year of ministry. In my spare time I love to go to movies, ride my Harley, read, and work out at the gym. Janie, who is retired from teaching, loves to read, cook, sew, and take care of me.
